Do not like, share, or re-post. School Announcements News and Events Want to Apply to the Virtual Academy? The application is open to students in grades 9-12. If you are interested in applying, you must work with your home school counselor to submit the application to The Virtual Academy. There is a waitlist. Questions? Email virtual@smcps.org. Technology Support Students in the Virtual Academy (9th-12th) will be issued an SMCPS laptop with the capabilities to support online learning. Virtual Academy students will also be issued a headset for online learning. Technology assistance and troubleshooting will be available through the SMCPS HelpDesk. Please see the flyer for more information about the technology at the Virtual Academy. After School Activities, Sports, and Clubs Students will continue to have access to services at their home school including meals, extra curricular activities, and athletics. Students will reach out to their home schools to get further information. *No transportation is provided. Attendance Attendance will be taken during every class. Students must attend synchronous class sessions and engage in the instruction. Students who are tardy or leave synchronous classes early will not be counted present for the entire class.
